BrewDog Short North is Here!

The BrewDog Columbus presence is about to double, as beginning today, we are opening our second bar in Columbus, and our first stand-alone bar in the entire United States. Excited? We thought you might be. For our supporters in Columbus who have waited a long time for this moment, the time has finally come.

BrewDog Short North opens its doors at 11am today, Saturday, April 14th.

General Manager Martin MacDonald has been with BrewDog for nearly 5 years, first at the Manchester bar in the UK, then to the Soho bar in London. When we first announced expansion into the states, Martin was tapped to come across the pond to lead the team as GM for DogTap Columbus in January, 2017. Fast forward a year and a half and he’s moving again, this time a shorter trek, just down the road from Canal to High Street in the Short North.

He and his team of craft beer crusaders have been hard at work prepping the 24 taps flowing some of the best craft beers the city has to offer from ourselves & some of our favorite guest breweries. We’ll also have a full range of takeaway beers to choose from, including unique offerings from our friends in the UK. For our non-beer drinkers, the bar will be stocked with a great selection of wine & liquor.

When the doors open later today, fans will find a fantastic, light and open feeling with both booth seating & shared community high-top tables to sit and enjoy a beer with friends new and old. For the warmer months, there’s also a back patio perfect for those who want to kick back for drinks in the relaxed vibe. Speaking of food, the new bar will be serving up fresh made to order pizzas along with all the cold brews. From today, the bar will be operating regular hours - Monday to Thursday 3pm – 2am, Friday and Saturday 11am – 2am, and Sunday 11am – 11pm.

For those who’ve been following our progress the whole way, you’ll know this bar has been a long time coming and we cannot wait to finally serve up super-fresh craft beer for the people of the Short North and hopefully provide another beery sanctuary for the bustling neighborhood.
