DIY DOG 2018
A decade in the making, DIY Dog was one of the best things we have ever done. Every single BrewDog recipe released, for free, to the global homebrewing community who have supported us since we began all those years ago. Hundreds of prospective brewdays, laid out in black and white. Just add malt, hops, water and yeast. But time moves on. Luckily so do we.
DIY Dog 2018 is out now. And it is rocking 63 brand new recipes.
This newly-complete anthology of BrewDog history runs from original Punk IPA right through to Zipcode – an as-yet unreleased pilsner set to feature as part of our subscription beer club Fanzine. We love the fact that you can use DIY Dog to create our beers before we brew them and drink them before we do. And just as awesome, you can dial it up as a time machine to re-create a favourite from our archives.
DIY Dog 2018 contains 325 detailed homebrew-friendly recipes – each one ready to roll on your homebrew rig. Let’s take a run-down of some of the new brews inside…
You can now fire up that rig to brew our new west coast IPA Native Son, or take a homebrew road trip cross-country and let loose our Vermont-style IPA Hazy Jane. Invite some friends round and host your own collaboration by brewing ours – Very Big Moose (with Fierce Beer) or I Wanna Be Your Dog (with Omnipollo). Or if you missed some of our small-batch releases, they are all here. Pina Colada Sidewalk Shark. Mandarina Lager. Cranachan Cream Ale.
With a detailed introduction and guide on how to ace your homebrew adventures every time, DIY Dog is the perfect starting point and ideal compendium all in one. Each recipe comes with a tip from our brewteam on how to nail it exactly, as pretty much all of them set out on that same pathway. There’s no other industry where you can learn about our beer by making an exact copy in your kitchen. Or garage. Or wherever.
After all it was in Martin’s Mum’s garage that BrewDog first sparked into life – from Fraserburgh to Ellon and beyond to Columbus we still hold that homebrew is the bedrock of it all. That is why we have given you the chance to discover our recipes for yourself. DIY Dog is the keys to our kingdom and they aren’t for keeping in a safe – we would rather give them away to everyone who would like the chance to recreate them, bastardise them and tear them to pieces.
Great beer and lager begins at home.
