#MASHTAG 2018 LABEL CHALLENGE!

At the start of the month we dialled in another epic year of #MashTag beer creation – democratic brewing at its finest. Thousands of you cast your ballots for what this year’s #MashTag beer will be, and now we are putting out the call for your help another time. We need a label for our 2018 brew. Ever fancied designing a beer bottle? Now’s your chance!

And for the winning entrant, we are offering up a cool prize too.

Once we have a shortlist of entrants we will put them to the public vote once again – this is #MashTag, after all – and the label that comes out on top will score for that person a case of the beer that bears their work plus a selection of cool BrewDog merch! The deadline for entries is midnight on Sunday 10th June so you still have time to get that thinking cap on!

#MashTag 2018 is set to be a 5% Pale Ale brewed with Pale and Maris Otter Malts, US Hops and infused with two hugely resonant ingredients - hibiscus flower and yuzu. A crossover of trans-Atlantic malt and hops fortified with a pair of enormously evocative additions. We can’t wait to get the beer underway, and to compile that shortlist of label entries!

The label can feature anything you like – it can represent the ingredients, BrewDog, craft beer, or be totally abstract. It’s entirely up to the budding artists out there and we welcome submissions for #MashTag label art from all-comers, you don’t need to be a professional designer to take part.

As long as you can put ideas to paper (virtual or analogue) then we’d love to hear from you. Our labels are 177mm wide by 87mm high, so where possible please submit your initial entry as a jpeg, 1240 x 610 pixels at 100dpi. Keep a vector/high-res version, as we’ll need to print at full size and in CMYK colour!

If you are scribbling on a piece of paper hang on to that hard copy, as we may need to scan at a higher resolution for the final label artwork that we send to the printers (but don’t worry, we’ll work with the winner at this stage of the process). Send your entries via one of the following means, prior to midnight on Sunday 10th June:

- Email it to design(@)brewdog(.)com (9MB file size limit),

- Tweet them to us @BrewDog (include #MashTagLabel in the tweet)

We’ll cast our eyes over the entries and assemble a shortlist of the most epic attempts, before asking you to head to the polling booths one last time to choose the official label art of #MashTag 2018’s 5% Pale Ale brewed with Pale and Maris Otter Malts, US Hops and infused with hibiscus flower and yuzu.
