Tomorrow is the 4th of July – a date when many beers will be sunk on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean – and to bring a small slice of the celebrations over here we are rocking a showdown in our UK BrewDog Bars. This showcase of independence will see a single brewery from the US squaring off against a challenger from the UK, with you guys being able to vote in the bars to see which nation wins out. Will it be the same result as last night? Round 2 is on. But who are the players?

From the US we have invited the mighty Jackie O’s. And from the UK? None other than Cloudwater.

On Thursday July 4th, each and every UK BrewDog Bar will be pouring multiple beers from both Cloudwater and Jackie O’s, with each and every beer being on the line to determine who wins out on this particular Independence Day. We have hand-picked the taplist for each brewery, with both currently at the very tops of their respective game.

From the UK we have the incomparable Cloudwater, who have risen from their Manchester beginnings to become global players in only four years. With their ethical philosophy and ever-changing line-up they brew bold craft beer that has led them to become a household name. Check the bar taplist tomorrow for which Cloudwater brews your local BrewDog Bar is pouring; whatever they are you won’t be disappointed.

Cloudwater are at the cutting edge on this side of the Pond so we have journeyed into the heart of our adopted US home State to find a brewery ready to take them on. And we have found exactly that with Jackie O’s. Fourteen different beers have been freighted over from their base in Athens, Ohio – these guys are incredible and with their own farm and bakery, do things in the right way every bit as much as Manchester’s finest.

To take things to another level our amazing kitchen crews are rocking a month-long US themed specials menu, featuring a Big Pastrami Burger that comes loaded with jack and pepperjack cheese, pastrami and pickles, dressed with French’s yellow mustard. If your BrewDog Bar has a pizza menu you can sit down to a Pastrami special there too – pepperoni, pastrami and jack. Pizza paradise!

As you chow down you can get better acquainted with Cloudwater and Jackie O’s and then vote in the bar on which country you think deserves to win, on this coming Independence Day.
