THE LEGEND OF THE HOLY MOOSE

THE LEGEND OF THE HOLY MOOSE

In the lands of the long, low light, there dwells a mysterious, seldom-seen creature. The Holy Moose. On his broad, furred shoulders, the weight of craft beer in those lands is supported. Behind his fearsome antlers, the defence of this modern way of life is waged. But even today, he is a threatened species. The forces of bland, industrial beer have gripped the Nordic region with fingers as strong as iron.

Our mission to provide a banner around which the Holy Moose can rally has arrived.

We have created a beer to honour the people of Scandinavia and the Nordic lands. The Holy Moose led us to the key ingredients from each of these proud nations. For Denmark? Blueberries. Finland? Sea Buckthorn. In Norway, he found us Lingonberries. And Sweden, the emblematic Cloudberry. A trans-nordic mash up of our acclaimed Hello my Name is series of brews.

Holy Moose is a eulogy to the Nordic region in beer form, and the quest of James and Martin to discover its secret almost cost them everything. Your quest will be a little less taxing. If you are an Equity Punk in Scandinavia or the Nordic region, then the Holy Moose will simply come to you. He has traversed the wilds, and will be preaching his wisdom in beer form at a series of launch events this coming week.

We are inviting our loyal army of Equity Punks to join the Holy Moose and Captain James at one (or all!) of our these, and chat with James about Hello My Name is Holy Moose, Equity Punks IV, and all things beery. Each event begins at 18:00, local time, and takes place on the following evenings!

Tuesday 8th September

BD57, Markveien 57, 0554 Oslo, Norway

Wednesday 9th September

BrewDog Kungsholmen, (Fridhemsplan/S:t Eriksplan), S:t Eriksgatan 56,112 34 Stockholm, Sweden

Thursday 10th September

BrewDog Helsinki, Tarkk'ampujankatu 20, 00150 Helsinki, Finland

Our Nordic shareholders are welcome to bring a +1 to the event, as long as space permits – so be sure and RSVP as soon as possible as it’s going to be busy! The wisdom of the Holy Moose (and James) can only be witnessed by a certain number, so once we reach capacity we will be closing the guestlists.

Holy Moose is now available to buy in our online shop, and will be launched on draft to all willing disciples of the Holy Moose on Friday 11th September in UK BrewDog bars.

Wherever you live, follow the people of the Nordic lands. Turn your backs on the tasteless, and pledge yourself to the majesty of the Holy Moose.

Received a really kind donation to my Youtube Channel from the Guys at Brewdog - definitely one of the more interesting and unusual beers that Brewdog have produced in some time!

Here's my take on the Holy Moose!

You need to have merchandise to go with all these new releases. A t-shirt with the Moose!

On the subject of merchandise, when will their be more choice in t-shirts etc.?

Brewdog has a brilliant logo but not nearly used enough. I still wait to see a t-shirt with just a massive brewdog logo on it.

Hurry up person in charge of these things and get them to market please.

Grazie!

There is however a BrewDog in Gothenburg, so when will we see a launch here?

There's a 3rf Fox and Hounds (The Scottish Pub) opening in Sønderborg, Denmark on Oct 2nd, couldn't you arrange a collaboration with them? The Aabenraa F&H once sold Dogma on tap so there has been some contact

Jakob - We don't have a BrewDog bar in Denmark...yet...maybe a road trip to Gothenburg?

Georgia - What delicacies grow there we can use in brewing? Anything interesting?

Jani - We'll write a note to your boss... ;)

I hope you come up to Luleå, in Swedish Lapland. I bet you could brew some really incredible ingredients for a Nordic taste...
