THE BREWDOG BEER GEEK AWARDS - AWARDS CEREMONY!

THE BREWDOG BEER GEEK AWARDS - AWARDS CEREMONY!

The entries are in, blogs have been read, quiz scores have been tallied and now it’s time to get ready for the newest highlight of the beer events calendar – the BrewDog Beer Geek Awards! On the 21st of August at BrewDog Clerkenwell from 6pm we’ll be hosting the ultimate celebration of beer geekery.

We have an amazing panel of judges, including the father of the Cicerone Scheme, Ray Daniels, celebrated beer author Pete Brown, and our very own James Watt, who have helped us separate the trub from the wort (see what we did there?) and shortlist our rather impressive 9,851 entries down to the final few from each category!

As well as announcing the winners of each of the Beer Geek Awards categories, we’ll be hosting a tasting event to find out who has Europe’s finest palate from the top 8 entrants from our Beer Tasting Geek event. We’ll also be finding out who is the ultimate Beer Geek Scholar in a killer game-show like beer quiz for the 5 highest scorers in our online quiz. For those in the audience, they’ll get a chance to educate themselves on how to taste beer correctly during the event whilst we test out contestant’s beery chops, as well as meet our amazing judging panel!

The top Beer Geeks from each category will be contacted shortly to be invited to the event, at which they will find out if they have won themselves a trip to sunny San Diego!

If you don’t hear from us, that means you’re not amongst the top 3 (sorry!), but if you’re still up for an evening of beers, prizes and entertainment, you can grab your ticket today here for only £10. If you’re one of BrewDog’s loyal Equity Punks then we have a sweet deal for you – you can grab your tickets to this super exclusive event for only £5 via the new-look Equity Punk forum!
