DRAM & SMOKE AT BREWDOG SHEPHERD’S BUSH

DRAM & SMOKE AT BREWDOG SHEPHERD’S BUSH

Here at BrewDog, we love pairing beer with food. We love beer full stop, of course, but when thoughtfully brought out at mealtimes it just shines even more. Fundamentally, this is due to the myriad of differing styles – they convey far more possibilities than other drinks out there, when you stop to consider the notion of complementing and lifting your chosen dish. The right beer can offer that perfect contrast, it can cut through rich or fatty flavours at will; or with the benefit of similar ingredients, partner up more totally than wine ever could.

Fortunately, we aren’t the only ones to voice that opinion.

London-based Scottish food pop-up Dram & Smoke are at the forefront of the modern movement of imaginative, outstanding food tendered from urban locations. Their winter project at a leather tannery warehouse at London Bridge was a huge hit, for example, selling out on a regular basis. Always served tongue-in-cheek and showcasing fascinating combinations of ingredients, their Highland classics seem teed up to fit perfectly with BrewDog beer – so that is exactly what we both have decided to do!

On Easter Sunday, the 5th of April, BrewDog and Dram & Smoke are presenting The Last Sipper – a unique, cutting-edge Easter lunch at our Shepherd’s Bush bar. A six-course Scottish-themed feast will be served, with each course paired to a carefully selected craft beer. Our BrewDog team will be on hand to chat about the pairings, and beforehand will be leading a game of ‘Beer Bingo’ – your chance to guess the upcoming matches, which could win you some pretty cool prizes.

The event kicks off at 12pm with everyone sitting down for the first course and beer of this very special Easter lunch, and runs in relaxed fashion until 3pm when the final pairing is complete (which is rumoured to feature the most iconic Scottish takeaway dessert of all-time). You’re then free to enjoy the majesty of the 40 taps at BrewDog Shepherd’s Bush, to take it easy in the booths, or work off the great food with a spot of thumb-bending vintage arcade game action.

Tickets cost £35 and are available online by clicking on this link. We’re thrilled to be involved with Dram & Smoke; their innovative take on Scottish classic dishes are right up our street. So on Easter Sunday, you can head up that street (Goldhawk Road) to BrewDog Shepherd’s Bush and find out for yourself how good their food is, and how perfectly it matches with our beer! Cheers!

Looks excellent! What's the overnight parking like around there? (I don't fancy driving home after a Brewdog session)

I don't live in London, but those photos make it look amazing (the event, not the city)
