KEEPING IT LOCAL

KEEPING IT LOCAL

We are proud that our network of craft beer bars are beacons in their respective cities. Each one is a place where people come together to enjoy super-fresh craft beer, amazing food and all round great times, with the beer sourced from breweries we know (and those we have just discovered) from all corners of the globe. But we also know that great beer begins at home. And so, for the next month, we are pinning our colours to the mast by celebrating great craft beer from the UK like never before.

For starters, between now and Saturday March 16th we are hosting a UK Craft Beerfest. Each and every draft beer poured in a UK BrewDog Bar will have been brewed, conditioned and kegged right here in the UK.

We have championed home-grown craft brewing since our inception but fully turning over our taps to UK beer is something we have never done before. For the next five weeks you’ll be able to enjoy amazing guest beer from the likes of Siren Craft Brew, Buxton, Wylam, Fierce Beer, Burnt Mill, Tiny Rebel and many more.

But we are not done there. One of the highlights of our year is #Collabfest, the annual celebration of collaboration that sees our bar crews team up with a brewery near to them and create a unique beer; with all brews then being poured across our network of Bars in a huge and crazy weekend festival. We have thought about how we can pay this forward and make it a more permanent fixture – so we have also introduced Local Taps in our UK Bars.

From now on, each and every BrewDog Bar in our home nations will have two of their taps exclusively set aside for the work of breweries local to them.

We have given our Bar GMs carte blanche on this; they have the knowledge on their backyard scenes. So they have filled us in on which nearby craft breweries they love and we have made it happen. Just look for the ‘Local Taps’ designation on our in-bar draft menus – and be sure and follow your BrewDog Bar of choice on social media to keep up with their announcements on who and what they are pouring!

If there are any suggestions as to UK breweries we should include in our five-week UK Craft Beerfest then leave us a comment below. You never know what might happen. And if you manage to sample a beer on your Local Tap then tag us @BrewDog on social media!
