Tierney-Jones, Curtis, Garrett and Evans. No, not the Welsh Rugby team’s front row, but the beer writers who made their way up to Brew HQ in Ellon to work on a very special beer. After weeks of planning, the guys took to the tun and together with us, brewed Peach Therapy. This 9% abv sour tripel, infused with peach and apricot is ready to go! And tomorrow is your chance to try it out.

It’s pretty well known that we don’t like to do things by halves here at BrewDog, and tomorrow’s launch is no different. Not only will we be unveiling this peachy delight for the first time, but Adrian, Matt (AKA ‘Total'), Jonny and Brad have been given free rein on 40 taps at BrewDog Shepherd’s Bush. Each of our beer-brewing bloggers has been allotted 10 taps to fill with whatever beery delights take their fancy. Having seen the list, it’s definitely not one you want to miss. BUT it’s a closely guarded secret and we couldn’t possibly tell you what goodies abound…

Okay, we’ll tell you. How does the likes of Almanac, Ballast Point, Beavertown, Firestone Walker and Wild Beer Co. sound for starters? “Pretty freakin’ awesome,” we hear you say! Damn right!

We haven’t even got to the beer itself yet! Peach Therapy is mindbogglingly complex; on the nose, it carries all the characteristics of a tripel and has beautiful aromas of apricot, peach, cloves, nutmeg, pepper and banana, coupled with floral and biscuit notes.

On the palate, prominent peach notes with orange rind, banana, sour cherry, rhubarb and custard sweets and even Scottish favourite soor plooms (not a Scottish Auto-Correct) tantalise the tongue. This beer is so beautifully complex that every time you come back to it you’ll find something new that’ll keep you coming back to it again and again.

So how can you get your hands on this complex tripel? If you want to try this illustrious brew, it’ll be available exclusively in BrewDog Shepherd’s Bush and tomorrow sees the aforementioned launch event! All the boys will be in attendance and will be taking any questions you have, whether they be about the beer, the brewing process, or how Brad gets his beard to look so lovely.
